Have you heard this one before?
A Buddhist walks up to a hot dog vendor and says, "Make me one with everything!". After the Buddhist paid for the hot dog with a
$20, the vendor took the bill and began to wait on the next customer. The Buddhist interrupted and said, "Hey, where's my change?" The hot dog vendor smiled and replied, "Change must come from within!".
Over the years I've noticed that too many people seek happiness in buying too many things which they believe will make them happy. Sad thing is that as soon as they have these new things it doesn't take long and the
excitement begins to wear off. Not long after that they begin again looking for something to buy, so they can be happy again. Wash, rinse repeat!
Tao Travel - Journeys that Enlighten the Soul Retreats however have a totally different impact on a person. Not only do you get to spend a few weeks in sacred areas in either the Taoist Wudang Mountains of China or the sacred foothills of
the Himalayas in India, which most certainly change you, but you get to keep the change too!
Incessantly buying things simply fills an inner void...temporarily. Experiences had while traveling on retreat, which I often call spiritual experiences, fill inner voids by expanding your awareness as well as enriching your mind, body and spirit,
making you a more whole person.
But don't take my word for it, see what other people are saying:
This journey was truly scenic and
beautiful, yet it was also an incredible inner journey, of being able to know oneself, without the interference of westernized culture. It truly was a wonderful way to disconnect from the outside and be able to connect with inside.

I enjoyed Terry Hodgkinson’s Wudang Mountain China trip so much that I knew I just had to be on his India trip too! Terry was incredibly knowledgeable about India’s culture, meditations and places of interest we were scheduled to visit.

The Tao Journeys Wudang Mountain Retreat was one of the best trips I have ever taken. I would love to go
back again and immerse myself in the study of Qigong, Tai Chi, and Taoist studies we were involved in. The energy from the mountain is something else…there is no place like it….and I have traveled all over different continents.
