Mahatma Gandhi was the leader of India’s non-violent independence movement (also known as Ahimsa) against British rule and in South Africa who advocated for the civil rights of Indians. His form of non-violent civil
disobedience in India would influence the world and many future leaders.
On our retreat to India one of the places we will visit and pay our respects is called Raj Ghat, where Gandhi's ashes are kept as well as what is called Gandhi's Eternal Flame, installed in his memory.
